Essento Grasshopper Skewer
Surprise your guests with our Essento Grasshopper Skewer. The delicious taste of the Locusta (grasshoppers) harmonises excellent with the homemade Teriyaki marinade and makes each apero or starter salad memorable.

The Essento Insect Falafel is based on Tenebrio (mealworms), chickpeas, onions, vegetables and delicious spices like coriander and turmeric. They taste very delicious combined with fresh vegetables and a yogurt sauce in a pita bread, as an appetizer or a topping on a salad.
Essento Insect Protein Bars
The Essento Insect Protein Bars are probably the first protein bars, which really do taste good. They are based on high-quality insect proteins and only contain all-natural ingredients, no whey proteins. They are hand-made with love by us in Zurich. Available in two flavours: Berry Coconut & Raw Chocolate.
Acheta (crickets) show an interesting nutritional composition: A high protein share, essential minerals and unsaturated fatty acids. The taste persuades as well and reminds of popcorn. Whether as a topping, a snack or processed in a sweet pastry: The culinary options with crickets are as diverse as their nutrients.
Cricket flour can be used in cakes, pastry or brownies, as nutrients boost to refine a bread, quiche or pancake dough. Even hand-made pasta, empanadas, crispbread or tortillas get a special add-on when cricket flour is added. There are no boundaries for your ideas.
Our snacks that are ready to serve contain seasoned crickets (paprika) and mealworms (salted & paprika). They are not only an eye-catcher – but they persuade also from a culinary perspective and provide a healthy and tasty alternative to peanuts or crisps.
